VIDEO : Hat-Trick By Boult, Zaman, Azam & Hafeez Gone

Boult to Fakhar Zaman, out Bowled!! New Zealand had the plan and they have executed it to perfection. A poor shot from Fakhar and his UAE travails never cease to end. He’s gutted with himself, but he can think a lot more in the dressing room. On a good length and coming back with the angle, Fakhar was tucked up for room on the flick, went with a violent swish off the bat, missed it completely, the ball clipped his pad and then ricocheted onto the off-stump. The early wicket has been taken and it’s a big one.

Boult to Babar Azam, out Caught by Ross Taylor!! New Zealand are already celebrating, they think this one has gone straight off the bat. Is it a bump ball? The third umpire will have a look, the soft signal is OUT. It’s a fair delivery, think it went straight off the bat, I reckon Babar is OUT and so is umpire Nigel Llong, a duck for Babar Azam. Double blow and Boult is on a hat-trick. Lovely catch from taylor at wide slip, the ball was travelling and came at an awkward height – right besides his face, he juggled once and then held onto the rebound. Coming to the ball, it was full and wide of off, Babar jammed hard at it, got a thick edge and at the same time, the bat hit the ground, flew to the right of wide slip.

Boult to Hafeez, out Lbw!! Boult has a hat-trick, but Hafeez will challenge this LBW call. Thius looked good for me, only an inside edge can save him. It’s a fair delivery, don’t think there’s any bat, UltraEdge confirms it. Onto Hawk-Eye, three reds and Hafeez is OUT. Third New Zealand bowler to claim a one-day hat-trick, after Danny Morrison and Shane Bond. Lovely lovely delivery first-up, this was full and this swung back at pace into the right-hander, Hafeez was caught in his crease as he tried to work it towards the on-side, it burst past his inside edge and struck him on the pads – bang in front of leg-stump, was going on to smash into the leg-stump and Pakistan lose their review as well.

Here is the clip of that video:
