Star Indian Opener Batsman Injured

The Indian opener batsman Murali Vijay injured during a Ranji match against Andhra. He hurt himself and retire-hurt, when he was batting on 13 in the second session of day three. His ankle was twisted while taking a run and was forced to limp off the ground for treatment.

This is the comeback game for this opener after recovered from a wrist injury during the Australian series. After that he had to undergo a surgery and due to that he missed a couple of series including the 10th edition of Indian Premier League.

During the Test series against Sri Lanka in July-August, he was selected in the Indian squad, but he failed to recover till the series and withdraw his name from the series. In the recent TNPL, he played few games and took part in the Duleep Trophy where he played for India Green.

This season of Ranji Trophy is the perfect platform for him to prove his fitness ahead of the Test series against Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan team is ready to visit India in the November and now it’ll interesting to see the fitness and form of Vijay before the main series.
