Rashid Khan is pretty well known as one of the very best spin bowlers in the world. The Afghan maestro does magic with the ball in his hands and leaves the batsmen stunned with the same. But he can also hit the opposition bowlers out of the park when his team needs him too, and that is exactly what he did in the ongoing Vitality T20 Blast.
In the match between the two popular Southpaws: Sussex and Hampshire, Rashid Khan rose to the occasion and smashed a sensational six to shock everyone.

Sussex captain Luke Wright won the toss and elected to bat first. They did not get a desirable start as opener Philip Salt departed early, leaving Luke Wright alone to take control of the innings. In at 3 Ravi Bopara, however, did not fail his captain and played a great knock.
Bopara and Ian Wright gave Sussex just the momentum they required and they crossed the 100 runs mark in the 12th over. Soon after that, their partnership broke. In fact they lost successive wickets after that and went from from 100/1 to 156/5 in the blink of an eye but they had little to worry with Rashid Khan present in their team to finish off their innings.
The Afghan spinner might have taken some time to settle, but his comeback was worth the wait. He turned the tables in the 19th over when he welcomed pacer Scott Currie with a boundary. In response, Currie attempted to bowl a bouncer but missed the length badly. Making full use of the opportunity, Rashid Khan played an out-of-the-world Helicopter Shot, which MS Dhoni would be surely proud of. The shot went viral on social media in no time.
Rashid Khan himself posted a video clip of the shot on twitter with the caption “Some shots are not in the book but you just need to write them . Can anyone suggest name for it ?”
Rashid khan surely loves the Helicopter shot. Just a few weeks ago, he was spotted practising the same shot at a miniature golf course. Well we have to say that it worked out in the best possible way.
