During the second ODI match against New Zealand in Raipur, Mohammed Shami was in top form. He made a striking debut by bowling out dangerous batter Finn Allen with a beautiful delivery in his first over.
The Kiwi batter was unable to score any runs and was sent back to the pavilion after facing only 5 balls. Shami also delivered a maiden over. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj also made an early impact by dismissing Henry Nicholls, who only managed 2 runs off 20 balls.
India had won the toss earlier and decided to bowl first in the second match of the three-game series, following their 12-run victory in the first ODI. The match was held at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Rajpur.
A fantastic delivery from Mohammed Shami caught New Zealand opener Finn Allen off guard. The inswinging ball, which moved in late, beat Allen’s defense and hit the back-pad before destroying the top of the middle-stump. This impressive start by Shami has set the tone for India in the match in Raipur.
