The BCCI has announced the schedule of upcoming season of Indian Premier League. The League is going to start from 31st March and will end on 28th May. Gujarat Titans vs Chennai Super Kings will happen in the first match of IPL 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on 31st March.
Total 70 matches including 18 double headers will be playing in TATA IPL. After 2019, this tournament will be played in India in its old home and away format for the first time. The Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin five days after the end of the first season of the VIVO Premier League (WPL) on March 26.
CSK matches in IPL 2023: 31st Mar: GT (A). 3rd Apr: LSG (H). 8th Apr: MI (A). 12th Apr: RR (H). 17th Apr: RCB (A). 21st Apr: SRH (H). 23rd Apr: KKR (A). 27th Apr: RR (A) 30th Apr: PBKS (H). 4th May: LSG (A). 6th May: MI (H). 10th May: DC (H). 14th May: KKR (H). 20th May: DC (A).
Apart from the existing franchises, Guwahati and Dharamsala have been added to the list of 12 venues announced by the BCCI for the upcoming season of IPL.
The all Teams divided into 2 groups. Group A MI, RR, KKR, DC and LSG. Group B CSK, PBKS, SRH, RCB and GT. The El Clasico of IPL – CSK to face Mumbai Indians on 8th April and 6th May.
Out of the past 5 years (2018-2022), CSK have played the first match of the season in 4 seasons. This year will be their 5th time opening the IPL since 2018.
