Ishan Kishan is Ready For His Test Debut in 4th Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

The final test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is going to be quite important for Team India. Currently, Team India is ahead in this series by 2-1. Now the final match of the series will be played in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium from 9 March.

Prior to this match, a big update has emerged. Indian team captain Rohit Sharma may debut a young player in this match. This player has become a part of the Indian Test team for the first time. KS Bharat has had a poor performance in batting in the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Meanwhile, the pitch of the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is considered favorable for batsmen.

In such a situation, the Indian team management can include wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan from Jharkhand in the playing 11 for the fourth and final Test match. KS Bharat has been prepared as a backup for Rishabh Pant for the past year and has been a regular member of the India A team. However, he could only score 8, 6, 0, 23, 17, and 3 in the five innings of the first three Test matches against Australia.

Their wicket-keeping was impressive on slow and turning wickets, although they did fumble a few balls in Indore. However, scoring only 57 runs in five innings is not profitable for the Indian team, especially when Indian batsmen are struggling to score runs on turning pitches.

During practice on Tuesday, head coach Rahul Dravid spent a considerable amount of time with Ishan Kishan. Although the Indian team’s net session does not explicitly reflect the team management’s thoughts. On the other hand, Bharat was given rest during the alternative practice session on Tuesday.

The pitch at Motera seems conducive to batting, and if there is also some bounce in it, it will suit Kishan’s aggressive style of play, and in such a scenario, the team management can give him an opportunity. Australia’s team has two off-spinners, which goes against Kishan, as he faces difficulties in playing balls that turn away on the off-side. However, this has happened in limited-overs cricket, where he has to adopt an attacking approach right from the start.
