The Border Gavaskar Trophy’s fourth and last Test is currently in progress at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Despite a less-than-ideal beginning for the hosts on Day 1 of the match, the second day of play could potentially bring about a change of fortune.
During the first day of the fourth Test match, a comical incident occurred. Following a break in play, fans in the stadium stood up and cheered for former captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. However, things took an unexpected turn as Shubman Gill passed by a group of spectators.
The fans shouted, “Humari bhabhi kaisi ho, Sara bhabhi jaisi ho” as Gill walked past them. Shubman Gill, with a smile on his face, proceeded to take the field without paying much attention to the incident.
Regarding the current state of the game, Australia holds a dominant position due to Usman Khawaja’s unbeaten score of 150. He received excellent support from Cameron Green, who appeared to be in good form with a score of 95 runs off 135 balls.
In the initial stages, interim captain Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat first. During the first session of the opening day, Ravichandran Ashwin claimed the wicket of Travis Head while Mohammed Shami sent Marnus Labuschagne back to the pavilion. Ravindra Jadeja and Shami then took further wickets, leaving Australia with a score of 255/4 at the end of day one.
