WATCH : Ravi Ashwin Removes Cameron Green and Alex Carey in Same Over

Green’s excellent innings of 114 comes to an end as Ashwin claims his first wicket of the day with a tossed up delivery down the leg-side. Green attempts a sweep, but only manages to get a faint edge onto his gloves, allowing Srikar Bharat to take a sharp catch behind the wickets. This dismisses Green and breaks the massive partnership.

Carey falls for a golden duck as Ashwin claims his second wicket in the over. The off-spinner flights the ball outside off, and it sharply turns away from Carey. The batsman tries to play a shot but ends up getting a thick outside edge, which travels towards Axar at short third man. Axar maintains his composure and takes a comfortable catch to dismiss Carey without any fuss.

After picking up a couple of wickets in the first hour post lunch, India will be eager to wrap up the remaining wickets in the next hour. However, Khawaja seems to be in a determined mood to score his maiden Test double century. It remains to be seen if the Indian bowlers can prevent him from achieving this feat. Only time will tell.

Earlier, At Lunch of Day 2, Australia continue to dominate the Test with a score of 92 runs without losing any wickets in the last 29 overs. India tried all their bowlers but were unable to break this solid partnership as the batsmen played with ease. Khawaja has been batting like a monk at one end, scoring his 150 in the session, while Green has been hitting boundaries and is closing in on his maiden Test century.

India only looked threatening when Shami was bowling or when Jadeja managed to get the ball to spin from the rough to Khawaja. The pitch is a great one for batting, and Australia will want to capitalize on it.
