Virat Kohli, the flashy Indian batsman, was overheard engaging in amusing banter with his teammates during the ongoing fourth Test at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. India and Australia will conclude the final red-ball match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Monday, March 13th.
During the fifth day of the match, while in the middle of the third innings, Kohli was heard having a humorous conversation with his teammates. This happened when Marnus Labuschagne stepped up to bat after Matthew Kuhnemann’s dismissal.
“Dus minute dur hai, plane mein pehle hi baith jaunga. Hein? Plane main udaunga aaj,” Kohli can be heard saying.
It is worth mentioning that Ravichandran Ashwin, the experienced off-spinner, made the first breakthrough on the final day by dismissing Kuhnemann. Ashwin managed to catch Kuhnemann off guard as he defended down the wrong line, causing the ball to slide onto his pads.
I am also monitoring the SL-NZ match. As New Zealand gets closer to victory with every run, the likelihood of India qualifying for the WTC final becomes more certain.
