The MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is currently hosting the third and last One Day International (ODI) of the three-match series between India and Australia. After winning the toss, Australia’s captain Steve Smith decided to bat first.
Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head, the Australian opening pair, had a strong start, building a 68-run partnership for the first wicket. Nevertheless, Hardik Pandya’s impressive bowling performance led to him taking three wickets in a short period, bringing India back into the game.
David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne were quickly dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav, who joined the party after Hardik Pandya’s three-wicket haul. Axar Patel then claimed the wicket of Marcus Stoinis, and Yadav returned to the scene to take another breakthrough.
Although Yadav’s first two wickets came from batters attempting to hit him, the Indian spinner surprised Alex Carey with a remarkable delivery.
Kuldeep Yadav, a chinaman bowler, delivered a conventional ball that landed outside the leg stump but turned significantly to evade the outside edge of Alex Carey’s defensive shot on the back foot and hit the off-stump. The batsman was amazed by Yadav’s delivery, while the commentators were equally impressed with his skills.
