Chennai Super Kings (CSK) put up an impressive bowling performance to limit Mumbai Indians (MI) to a score of 157/8 at Wankhede Stadium during Match 12 of IPL 2023.
Although none of the MI batsmen could convert their starts into significant scores, Ishan Kishan managed to top-score with 32 off 21 balls.
MI could have scored more runs if Tristan Stubbs, a dangerous hitter from South Africa, had stayed on the field longer.
Stubbs had come in at No. 6 to give MI a strong finish, but he failed to time a slower delivery and was caught by Dwaine Pretorius and Ruturaj Gaikwad in a remarkable tag-team effort near the boundary line.
Pretorius lost his balance while trying to track back but threw the ball up before falling outside the cushions. Ruturaj Gaikwad, running from long-on, completed the catch with ease, much to the delight of Pretorius, who was thrilled with the catch, which is being considered one of the best of the season.
