WATCH : Catch dropped and miscommunication between Lalit Yadav & Warner

During the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians match, David Warner played a leading role for DC, scoring 46 runs by the end of the 13th over with a team score of 103/5. Despite Warner’s solid performance, the team was losing wickets from the other end.

In the 12th over, an incident occurred that left Warner frustrated. While facing Cameron Green’s third delivery, Warner attempted to loft the ball over mid-off but mistimed the stroke. Piyush Chawla, who was positioned at the field, leaped slightly late and missed the catch.

Although this was not the only opportunity for MI to dismiss Warner, as there was also a mix-up between Warner and Lalit Yadav while running between the wickets. Warner set off for a single, while Lalit was still looking at the ball.

Lalit realized late that Warner had started running and completed the run. However, Warner was visibly upset after the incident and expressed his frustration through his actions.

Warner faces Green and hits a full ball outside off straight to mid-off who drops a relatively easy catch. Chawla was positioned at mid-off but was a bit late to jump and missed the ball. He also fumbled on the leap and failed to collect the ball cleanly.

Meanwhile, Lalit Yadav was guilty of ball-watching, causing Warner and him to be stuck at one end. Warner was visibly angry and expressed his disappointment to Lalit. Furthermore, if Piyush had recovered quickly, there was clearly a chance for a run-out.
