Mumbai Indians made light work of chasing down the target of 173, with a comfortable score of 92/1 after 10 overs. David Warner and Axar Patel were impressive for DC, while Rohit Sharma was in fine form for Mumbai.
During the match, Rovman Powell provided some entertainment by showcasing his stand-up comedy skills while chatting with the commentators.
Powell joined the conversation in the second over and shared that DC had planned to restrict Mumbai during the powerplay and rely on their spinners afterward. However, things took an amusing turn when the sound engineer interrupted the chat, assuming it had ended.
Powell refused to give up the microphone, explaining that the over was not yet concluded, and the interaction was not over. The commentators, Harsha Bhogle and Anjum Chopra, were highly amused by Powell’s antics and could be heard chuckling throughout the conversation.
Bhogle even praised Powell for playing the role of an expert commentator. Fans on Twitter also enjoyed the comical exchange and expressed their delight.
