Sachin Tendulkar stands out as the greatest cricketer ever to play the sport, having left an indelible mark on international cricket. His remarkable feat of scoring 100 centuries in international cricket remains unparalleled, with 49 of them coming in ODIs and 51 in the longest format of the game.

Sachin Tendulkar is universally recognized as the greatest cricketer to have ever graced the sport, having amassed a staggering number of runs in both Test and ODI formats. He holds the distinction of being the leading run-scorer in both Tests and ODIs, having scored 15,921 runs in Tests and 18,426 runs in ODIs.

In Tests, the Master Blaster recorded an impressive 51 centuries, 68 fifties, and six double centuries. Similarly, in ODIs, he notched up 49 centuries, 96 fifties, and one double century, accumulating a total of 18,426 runs.

In the final match of the ICC ODI World Cup between India and Sri Lanka, held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, Sri Lanka posted a competitive total of 274/6 in their allotted 50 overs, with Mahela Jayawardene scoring an unbeaten 103.

India’s chase was off to a shaky start when Virender Sehwag was dismissed for a duck, putting early pressure on the team.
