According to the cricbuzz’s report, Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant will take some more time to return to the cricket field and if he returns to the field by January next year, it will be considered as a very rapid recovery. It should be noted that Pant was involved in a terrible car accident when he was going to his hometown at the end of December 2022.

Due to this terrible accident, Pant is out of the Asia Cup and the upcoming World Cup to be held in India. This is no less than a shock for India. The wicketkeeper-batsman was recently seen cheering for the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

During this time, he had taken the support of crutches to walk. According to Pant’s close ones, he will take at least a few more weeks to walk without any assistance. The left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman was last seen playing in a test match against Bangladesh in December.

According to the cricbuzz’s report, Pant is recovering quickly, but it will take him seven to eight months to become fully fit for cricket. It may take him even more time to return to wicketkeeping, and initially, he may come back as a batsman, which is a big thing for the Indian team.

Pant underwent surgery for a ligament tear in January and is under the supervision of Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the head of the Center for Sports Medicine at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Medical Research Institute, and the director of Arthroscopy and Shoulder Services. There is a possibility that Pant may need another surgery.
