Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill are two talented young cricketers from India who have made a significant impact on the national team as top-order batsmen. Gill is one of the few players to have scored a century in all three formats of the game, while Kishan is only the fourth Indian player to have hit a double century in ODIs.
The two are also good friends and roommates while on tour with the Indian team. Gill recently shared that Kishan can be mischievous, disrupting his pre-match routine by watching movies on his iPad without using headphones and at full volume.
Despite their daily arguments over this, Gill admits that it has become a part of his pre-match routine, as Kishan reminds him that since he is the one sleeping in Kishan’s room, he must follow Kishan’s rules. In IPL 2023, Gill is a part of the Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat Titans team, whereas Kishan is playing for the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians.
On Tuesday, the two teams played against each other in Ahmedabad, and before the match, Gill and Kishan had a lighthearted interaction. Kishan playfully slapped Gill, and in return, Gill also gave him a friendly slap.
Regarding the game, in a completely one-sided IPL match, Gujarat Titans gave a clinical performance and defeated Mumbai Indians by 55 runs. Mumbai Indians were restricted to 152 for nine while chasing a challenging target of 208.
