WATCH : Easy stumping for MS Dhoni and Prabhsimran gone

Prabhsimran falls to Jadeja’s clever bowling, out stumped by Dhoni! Jadeja subtly reduces the pace of the ball, enticing Prabhsimran to step out and attempt a big shot at a tossed-up delivery outside off. Unfortunately, he misses, and the ball spins away from him, leaving him stranded outside the crease.

Dhoni smartly waits before dislodging the bails, and Prabhsimran was caught way off-guard. The game is now on a timeout. Dhoni understands that spin bowling is the key on this pitch, so he has brought on all three spinners he has in his arsenal. Although PBKS have made a solid start, the middle overs will be challenging for them.

The last three overs of the CSK innings were uneventful until Dhoni’s explosive finish. He smashed back-to-back sixes off the final two balls, propelling CSK to an impressive total of 200. Conway remained unbeaten at the other end, playing a fantastic innings of 92 runs and leading the home team’s exceptional effort with the bat.

He continued his excellent form, scoring his fifth half-century in the last six innings. Gaikwad and Dube also made valuable contributions at different stages, helping CSK post a formidable total on a dry pitch. Although the PBKS pacers did a decent job towards the end, they struggled in the powerplay.

Despite fielding three spinners, they were unable to restrict the scoring as Conway dominated the middle overs, never allowing them to settle. PBKS now face a daunting challenge as they prepare to chase down this total. We’ll be back shortly with the start of their innings.
