Tim David hits Holder for three consecutive sixes to chase down 212 with ease! The first one was a full toss that he smacked over deep square leg. The second and third sixes were hit with even more authority. MI has just achieved their highest chase at the Wankhede, all thanks to David’s heroics.

The 1000th game of the IPL was truly a memorable one, as the home team chased down an imposing target with some spectacular batting performances. Mumbai Indians lost their captain, Rohit Sharma early, and Ishan Kishan’s promising start was cut short by an off-spinner.

MI looked helpless in the first 10 overs, allowing R. Ashwin to bowl a tight spell. However, Suryakumar Yadav’s blazing knock of 20 runs off Kuldeep Sen’s over turned the match on its head. The top-ranked T20I batter played some breathtaking strokes to entertain the crowd.

Unfortunately, his innings was cut short by an extraordinary catch from Sandeep Sharma. But, MI didn’t falter, as Tim David’s explosive cameo of 45 runs off just 14 balls with five sixes sealed the win for the team.

It was a crucial victory for MI, but one couldn’t help but feel for Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played a spectacular innings of his life and scored his maiden IPL ton, but ended up on the losing side.
