WATCH : Klassen gets angry after No-ball controversial decision

Lucknow Super Giants put up an impressive total of 182/6 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their first innings. Heinrich Klassen played a key role in the death overs, scoring a flamboyant 47 off just 29 deliveries with three boundaries and as many maximums.

However, Klassen’s aggressive approach extended beyond the pitch, leading to a heated exchange with the umpires. During the 19th over, Abdul Samad was struck on the gloves by a ferocious beamer from Avesh Khan, which was declared a no-ball by the square leg umpire.

Sunrisers Hyderabad decided to use their spare review in the hope of getting the decision overturned, but the umpires denied them the no-ball.

Replays showed that the ball had struck Samad well above the waist, but the umpire had doubts due to Samad’s slightly bent back knee, and the ball trajectory indicated it would have gone well above the stumps.

Klassen vehemently protested the decision, confronting the square leg umpire and going on a furious tirade. The incident was caught on the umpire’s point-of-view camera.

When another replay of the no-ball was shown on the big screens a ball later, Klassen’s frustration was once again apparent. The focus later shifted to an instance of crowd violence.
