Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, the renowned Indian leg spinner and cricket analyst, recently pointed out certain flaws in Ravi Ashwin’s bowling technique. In a social media post, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, who serves as a cricket panelist and Star Sports commentator, candidly highlighted Ashwin’s errors, which unfortunately led to him facing substantial criticism from fans.

In today’s world, social media has empowered individuals to express their opinions publicly and loudly. However, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan found himself on the receiving end of backlash from fans when he noticed an issue in Ravi Ashwin’s bowling style.

The former leg spinner meticulously addressed the problem, focusing on Ashwin’s non-bowling arm and his tendency to open up towards the offside. He shared an image on social media, which quickly went viral, and accompanied it with the following observation: “Zoom in on the image, and you’ll notice that his non-bowling arm and upper body are oriented towards the offside, while his lower body remains closed. This lack of synchronization needs correction for Ashwin to enhance his effectiveness.”

Recognizing the importance of rectifying this flaw before the upcoming World Cup, the 57-year-old former Indian cricketer urged Ashwin to make the necessary adjustments promptly. However, instead of support, he found himself subjected to trolling and criticism from fans.

In the wake of the backlash from fans on social media, Laxman Sivaramakrishnan took to the same platform to address the situation. He revealed that he had personally reached out to Ashwin via phone and that both of them were equally surprised by the unexpected trolling and negative reactions.
