In the tenth match of the World Cup held in Lucknow, South Africa faced off against Australia. Australia, having won the toss, elected to field first. The South African top-order batsmen played a measured and deliberate innings, forging an initial partnership of 108 runs between their openers.

Subsequently, van der Dussen and de Kock added 50 runs to the scoreboard through their partnership. However, the Proteas faced a challenging situation when de Kock was dismissed with the score at 197/3 after 34.5 overs. At this point, the game took an interesting turn.

The Australian team had the opportunity to capitalize on the situation, but they struggled as they dropped multiple catches during the 49th over. The first dropped catch occurred when a high-flying ball soared into the night skies, landing in the deep backward square leg area.

Mitchell Starc made a commendable effort to position himself beneath the ball, and although he managed to get his fingertips on it, the ball ultimately slipped through. It was undeniably a difficult catch.

To make matters worse for the Australian fielding unit, another drop happened in the very same over. This time, the culprit was Marcus Stoinis, who settled under the ball at extra cover before inexplicably releasing what should have been a straightforward catch.
