WATCH : DRS snag deprives desperate Jadeja from winning Miller battle

Under the night sky in Johannesburg, Indian bowlers dominated the T20I series’ final match, keeping the Proteas on their toes during a challenging pursuit of 202 runs. Stepping up in the absence of Suryakumar Yadav, who left the field due to an injury, Ravindra Jadeja led the bowling attack impressively.

He dismissed a threatening Aiden Markram for 25 and the powerful Andile Phehlukwayo. Yet, Jadeja could have achieved more if not for a technological setback during his encounter with David Miller.

In the ninth over, Jadeja faced Miller, who launched a massive shot towards midwicket followed by a flat strike over long-on. The game’s momentum appeared to shift as Miller looked formidable, but Jadeja didn’t retreat. He cleverly delivered a ball from around the wicket, deceiving Miller with flight and minimal spin.

Miller, attempting a defensive shot, nicked the ball audibly before it landed in Jitesh Sharma’s gloves. Despite Jadeja’s loud appeal, the umpire disagreed, prompting him to signal for a review.

To Jadeja’s dismay, a technical glitch rendered the technology unavailable, denying his chance to challenge the decision. Adding to his frustration, the replay revealed Miller had indeed edged the ball. Fans on Twitter sympathized with Jadeja’s predicament, acknowledging the unfortunate turn of events for the seasoned player.
