WATCH : Mohammad Rizwan not shaking hands with female members of Glenn McGrath’s family

During the recent Pink Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Mohammad Rizwan, the Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter, opted not to shake hands with the female members of Australian bowling legend Glenn McGrath’s family.

The McGrath Foundation organized this iconic Pink Test to raise awareness about breast cancer, encouraging fans to wear pink on Day 3 of the first Test of the year in Sydney.

The foundation’s initiative stems from McGrath’s late wife Jane’s battle with breast cancer in 2008, aiming to increase support for breast cancer patients through more nursing facilities.

While the Men in Green greeted and shook hands with McGrath’s family during the third Test between Pakistan and Australia, Rizwan respectfully chose not to shake hands with the female members but instead joined his hands as a sign of respect.

Pakistan, eager to secure their first Test victory on Australian soil in nearly three decades, fell short in their ambition. The hosts completed a comprehensive 3-0 whitewash in the three-match series.

Despite Mohammad Rizwan’s standout performances with scores of 88 and 28, Pakistan, led by Shan Masood, lost the third Test by eight wickets, unable to defend a target of 130 runs in the final innings.
