WATCH : Hosein’s redemption with a double blow post-sitter slip

The 18th encounter in the ILT20 didn’t go as planned for Akeal Hosein, who missed a straightforward catch from Johnson Charles after facing consecutive sixes in the powerplay.

Despite this mishap, the Caribbean all-rounder bounced back impressively in his third over, claiming two wickets in consecutive deliveries and celebrating in his unique style.

In the sixth over, Johnson attempted to pull a short ball from Fazalhaq Farooqi, resulting in a top-edge flying towards the mid-on region. Hosein, initially dropping the catch, quickly made amends.

Fifteen balls later, Charles, struggling to sweep a fuller delivery, was deemed out by the umpire. Despite a failed review attempt, the ball, pitching on the leg stump line, narrowly beat the forward defense.

Another dismissal followed as a well-kept good-length delivery trapped Basil Hameed, who wrongly attempted to defend. Realizing he was clearly out, Hameed left the field without a review. A triumphant Hosein celebrated, doubling the impact he had conceded a couple of overs earlier, causing a stir in the Twitterverse.
