WATCH : Sarfaraz rebukes Jaiswal over conflicting second run

Following an impressive display of batting prowess on the third day, Shubman Gill and Kuldeep Yadav set the stage for a batting exhibition from the Mumbai duo of Sarfaraz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

However, a minor incident unfolded when the former was left frustrated by a missed opportunity for an easy double, denied by Jaiswal’s hesitation.

In the 94th over’s third delivery, Rehan Ahmed approached from around the wicket and delivered a leg-break on a good length.

Sarfaraz, anticipating a chance for a double, pushed the ball towards deep cover and sprinted hard. However, Jaiswal showed reluctance towards the second run, leaving Sarfaraz stranded halfway down the pitch.

Having already suffered two peculiar runouts in the match, with Sarfaraz being a victim in the first innings, the 26-year-old expressed his displeasure at the unexpected mix-up amidst an otherwise fruitful run-scoring period.

He conveyed his frustration to his state team junior through hand gestures, emphasizing the miscommunication that could have resulted in another unfortunate dismissal. This moment garnered attention from the Twitter community, sparking various reactions.
