In the Chennai Super Kings-Gujarat Titans game, the defending champions secured a commanding 63-run victory over the 2023 runners-up at the Chepauk. Opting to bowl first after winning the toss, Gujarat Titans allowed CSK to amass a formidable total of 206 runs.
Shivam Dube led the scoring with 51 runs off 23 balls, hitting two fours and five sixes, followed by Rachin Ravindra who struck 46 runs off 20 balls, including six fours and three sixes. Chennai captain Ruturaj Gaikwad added 46 runs off 36 balls to the total, while Daryl Mitchell contributed an unbeaten 24 runs off 20 balls. Gujarat Titans struggled in their chase and could only manage 143-8. Sai Sudharsan was the top-scorer with 37 runs off 31 balls, while no other batsman reached the 30-run mark. Deepak Chahar, Mustafizur Rahman, and Tushar Deshpande, the pace trio of CSK, each claimed two wickets in the innings.
