Fresh off a match-winning half-century against the Mumbai Indians, Travis Head provided a spirited start for the Sunrisers Hyderabad following skipper Pat Cummins’ decision to bat first after winning the toss.
Despite SRH’s promising 56-run tally in the powerplay, Head couldn’t sustain the momentum, failing to replicate his World Cup heroics as Noor Ahmad exacted revenge for India’s loss.
In the seventh over, on the fourth delivery, the Afghan left-arm wrist spinner delivered a deceptive googly, slowing it down near the off-stump line.
Head, looking for room, attempted a slog sweep but missed the connection, witnessing the ball sneak past his inside edge and crash into the stumps.

It was a masterful wrong’un from Noor, who outfoxed the left-hander by altering the pace and generating extra spin. Head’s dismissal on the same ground where he shone in the Final of the World Cup sparked a frenzy on Twitter.
