WATCH : Mitchell Starc clatters middle stump sending Warner back to pavilion

After the Kolkata Knight Riders set a daunting target of 273 runs, the Delhi Capitals faced a shaky start. Despite Prithvi Shaw’s impressive debut performance in the previous match this season, he failed to make an impact and departed early in the second over.

The Capitals’ troubles persisted as Mitchell Marsh also fell without contributing significantly with the bat, dismissed in the third over by Mitchell Starc, who opened his account with a wicket this season.

Starc’s luck continued as he sent his compatriot David Warner back to the pavilion in the fifth over. In the third delivery of the fourth over, Starc delivered a short-length ball outside off stump to Warner, who attempted to capitalize by aiming towards the off side.

However, the ball took a thick inside edge, deflecting and dislodging the middle stump. The 30-year-old Australian pacer celebrated with enthusiasm as the KKR team congratulated him.

The incident quickly garnered attention on Twitter, with users praising Mitchell Starc’s well-deserved comeback.
