Royal Challengers Bengaluru set a formidable total of 242 runs in their allotted 20 overs after being put to bat first, courtesy of stellar performances by Virat Kohli, who scored 92 runs, and Rajat Patidar, who contributed 55.
In response, Punjab Kings began their chase strongly, with a 75-run powerplay and Rilee Rossouw’s fifty keeping them in contention.
However, Rossouw’s dismissal halfway through the chase prompted a spirited response from Kohli, who cheekily mimicked Rossouw’s celebration following his fifty.
During the eighth over, Rossouw showcased his batting prowess by launching a full-toss from Cameron Green over deep mid-wicket for a six, marking his fifty. He then celebrated by mimicking a cannonball launch, adding flair to the game.
However, Rossouw’s innings came to an end in the next over when he attempted to slog a delivery from Karn Sharma but ended up top-edging it to Will Jacks at long on.
