After Madhya Pradesh struggled to add runs in the morning session of Day 2 and were bowled out for 225, Jharkhand recovered from early setbacks. A 48-run third-wicket partnership set the stage for Kishan’s explosive innings.
Kishan started cautiously but reached his fifty in 61 balls. As his innings progressed, his scoring rate accelerated, and he quickly moved to 92 runs.
He then pulled a short ball over deep square leg for a six and followed it up with an inside-out shot over deep extra cover for another six. In just two balls, Kishan reached his century, making a strong statement in his return to the domestic circuit.

Previously, the wicketkeeper-batter had been left out of India’s central contracts due to his reluctance to participate in domestic leagues, making his comeback in this prestigious tournament all the more celebrated on social media.
