After winning the toss, England chose to bat and got off to a strong start, with openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley reaching 54/0.

However, the innings quickly spiraled as Noman Ali dismissed Crawley, followed by Sajid Khan removing Ollie Pope and Joe Root in quick succession.

Harry Brook also fell cheaply, leaving England struggling at 98/5. The trouble continued after tea, with Sajid completing a brilliant four-wicket haul, intensifying England’s difficulties.

Yet, Jamie Smith kept the scoreboard moving, pushing England to 225/7 in 60 overs. As Smith continued his counter-attack against the Pakistan bowlers, a key moment unfolded.

Attempting a big hit, he sent a towering shot towards long-off, where Sajid Khan made a spectacular play. On the last ball of the 61st over, Zahid delivered a flighted ball outside off-stump, which Smith stepped out to meet.

Mistiming it, he sent the ball high toward long-off. Positioned at the boundary, Sajid leapt for the catch, losing his balance but smartly lobbing the ball back into play before falling.

Regaining control, he completed the catch with a remarkable backflip to stay in bounds. The on-field umpire reviewed whether he touched the boundary cushion, and after careful replays, the TV umpire confirmed it was not a six.

Sajid’s incredible effort saved five runs, sparking a buzz on social media as fans celebrated his athleticism.
