WATCH : Sajid and Abrar dismantle a resilient Athanaze as Pakistan clinch victory on a rank-turner

Resuming their innings on the second day, Saud Shakeel failed to replicate his first-innings heroics, falling to a soft dismissal off the very first ball of the day from Warrican. Rizwan followed soon after, dismissed in the next over by the left-arm spinner.

Salman Ali Agha and Kamran Ghulam survived 27 balls together, but Warrican struck again from the same end, leaving Pakistan at 138/6 after 38 overs. Struggling against the severe turn, Pakistan was eventually bowled out for 157, with Warrican claiming an impressive seven-wicket haul.

In response, the West Indies attempted an aggressive approach against the spinners, but it backfired when Kraigg Brathwaite was dismissed in the fifth over by Sajid Khan.

The rest of the top five followed suit in quick succession, with Sajid claiming four wickets and Noman Ali adding one before lunch, leaving West Indies at 53/4 after 15 overs.

Alick Athanaze, however, fought back with a mixture of sweeps and nudges, even as he was occasionally beaten by the bowlers. His grit, along with support from Tevin Imlach, allowed the pair to occupy the crease for 57 balls before Imlach’s departure in the 25th over.

Kevin Sinclair then joined Athanaze, who was nearing a run-a-ball fifty. However, Abrar struck again, taking back-to-back wickets in the 35th over, leaving West Indies at 123/8. The pressure mounted, and Athanaze and Warrican soon succumbed as Pakistan sealed a 127-run victory.
