In the opening match of the ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand, a frightening incident occurred.
Young Kiwi all-rounder Rachin Ravindra was struck in the face while attempting a catch, causing blood to spill.
The incident took place during the 38th over of Pakistan’s innings. Pakistani batter Khushdil Shah played a swift sweep shot, sending the ball speeding toward Rachin.
Due to the lights, he misjudged the ball completely, and it hit him squarely in the face, causing him significant pain.
