WATCH : Rohit Sharma Shuts Down Retirement Rumors

Indian captain Rohit Sharma has put all retirement rumors to rest, firmly stating that he has no plans to retire from ODI cricket.

After leading India to a historic Champions Trophy 2025 victory over New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, March 9, he declared, “I want to make it clear that I am not leaving, I am not retiring from this format.”

Rohit’s retirement had been a hot topic throughout the tournament, especially after he announced his departure from T20Is following India’s World Cup win in June 2024.

Many speculated that he might follow suit with ODIs, given his age and the demands of his workload. However, the 37-year-old captain put an end to such talks by expressing his intention to continue playing in the 50-over format.
