After Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pulled off a historic chase of 228 runs against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), a light-hearted moment from their dressing room caught fans’ attention on social media. In a video shared by RCB on X (formerly Twitter), Virat Kohli was seen sharing a laugh with young teammate Swastik Chikara.
The 20-year-old Swastik asked Kohli for a selfie after the match, to which Kohli jokingly said, “Dimaag khaata rehta hai hamesha” (He’s always bothering me). Swastik showed the photo proudly, saying, “Bade bhai hai hamara. Jab mann kare, tab photo le dete hain” (He’s like my big brother. Lets me take photos whenever I want).
The mood in the RCB camp was electric after their record-breaking win. Kohli contributed significantly with a brisk 54 off 30 balls, opening alongside Phil Salt. The target of 228 marked RCB’s highest successful run chase in IPL history, breaking their previous record of 206 runs against Gujarat Titans.
This chase was not only RCB’s best, but also the third-highest successful run chase in IPL history. The thrilling victory energized players and fans alike, with the dressing room scenes reflecting their joy.
