An old video of Prasidh Krishna has recently resurfaced on social media, quickly going viral for all the right reasons. In the clip, the fast bowler is seen shattering the stumps of Tanush Kotian with an almost unbelievable slower delivery—one that left fans stunned by its sheer deception. The moment comes from the 2024 Irani Cup, where Krishna was playing for the Rest of India (ROI) against Mumbai.
The footage shows Krishna delivering what looked like a simple straight half-volley. However, the ball dipped sharply at the last moment, bouncing just in front of Kotian’s bat. It then skimmed past the blade by mere millimeters before crashing into the stumps. Kotian, clearly taken by surprise, stood frozen as he processed what had just happened.
Krishna wasn’t done yet. On the very next delivery, he trapped Mohit Avasthi with a clever ball outside the off-stump. It swung just enough to strike the batter’s pad in front of the wickets, earning Krishna another dismissal in consecutive balls.

Even though Krishna produced memorable moments in the match, the overall story belonged to Mumbai. The team delivered a commanding performance to secure the Irani Cup after a long gap of 27 years, marking a historic achievement for the side.
Mumbai’s victory was powered by a massive first-innings score of 537 runs. Sarfaraz Khan led the charge with a superb 222, while captain Ajinkya Rahane added a brilliant 97 and Shreyas Iyer chipped in with 57. Tanush Kotian also played his part with a valuable 64, helping Mumbai build a total that ultimately shaped the course of the match.
