The South African fast bowler Dale Steyn, who just made his comeback in International cricket after a long time has taken to the hospital due to his heel injury in the ongoing first test match of Freedom Series against South Africa.
His left heel after pulling up midway through his 18th over. After that he stopped his run up and threw the ball towards his bowling partner Vernon Philander to complete the over. Later on he walked from the field.
The official twitter handle of Cricket South Africa tweeted,”Dale Steyn has a bruised left heel and has been taken for scans for further investigations. CSA will give an update when available.”
Steyn bowled 17.3 overs and picked up 2 wickets conceding 51 runs before getting injured. Meanwhile the South African team started their second innings after getting the lead of 77 runs.
