A Mumbai Batsman Scored 1,045 not out Runs In a Match

A youngster batsman of Mumbai, Tanishq Gavate played a brilliant knock in a local cricket tournament in Navi Mumbai. He scored 1,045 runs in the Under-14 Navi Mumbai Shield invitational cricket tournament for school teams at Kopar Kahirane, Navi Mumbai.

If it was an official match, then it will be a world record in school cricket. His coach Manish claimed that in the tournament leather ball was used and bowlers bowled overarm.

Manish said,”Previously he used to bat at one or two down but he requested me to allow him to open the innings. After testing him in the nets with the new ball and in few practice matches, I was confident that he can do well.”

Tanishq Gavate scored that 1045* runs off 515 balls with the help of 149 boundaries and 67 sixes. He was very happy after his sensational innings.

He said,”I like to open as it gives me time to play long innings and I managed to do so on Tuesday. Hopefully, I can continue in same way from here on.”
