The South African star cricketer AB de Villiers ruled out for the first three One day International matches of the upcoming series against the Indian Cricket team. The team management hasn’t announced any replacement for de Villiers, as the management confident about the comeback of the star batsman in the last three matches of the series.
The CSA said,”De Villiers sustained the injury to his right index finger during the third Test against India and will require up to two weeks to make a full recovery.”
“The CSA medical team is hopeful De Villiers will recover in time for the fourth ‘Pink’ ODI at the Bidvest Wanderers Stadium on Saturday, February 10th . The selectors have opted not to name a replacement,” the release added.
As we all know that the South African team won the Test series against India with a margin of 2-1 and De Villiers was the top run scorer for the team. The first match of the One Day International series is scheduled for 1st February in Kingsmead.
