Overnight batters Shakib Al Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto started cautiously against Mohammed Siraj, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah.
With no moisture on the pitch, Siraj targeted the southpaws with some clever angles and added pressure with his words, particularly against a well-set Shanto.
Despite the pressure, Shakib remained calm in his captaincy for the first hour. However, the introduction of Ashwin on day four changed the game.
In the 52nd over, Ashwin got Shakib to edge one, breaking their 48-run partnership. Litton Das followed quickly after 18 balls, as Jadeja struck from the other end.

Bangladesh then lost three more wickets in just five overs, including key players Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz. With the visitors at 233/9, it was only a matter of time before Jadeja wrapped it up by dismissing Hasan Mahmud, giving India a 1-0 lead in the series with a commanding 280-run victory.
