The Board of Control For Cricket in India (BCCI) has released the Indian opener batsman Shikhar Dhawan and the Indian opener bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar from the squad of the second test. The both players requested to the board and the team management to release them from the squad due to some personal reason.
The BCCI official said,”Mr. Kumar will not take any further part in the ongoing Paytm Test series against Sri Lanka and the All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Vijay Shankar as his replacement. Mr. Dhawan is available for selection for the third Test.”
The BCCI has also updated this news on the Twitter handle with quote,”NEWS – Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Shikhar Dhawan released from Indian Test team. Vijay Shankar has been named as Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s replacement in the squad.”
