Good News For RCB Ahead of IPL 2021 Second Phase

Sri Lankan pacer Wanindu Hasaranga has officially joined Indian Premier League franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore for the remainder of IPL 2021. The Sri Lankan had to be signed as Australian spinner Adam Zampa has pulled out for the remainder of the season due to personal issues. Dusmantha Chameera and Tim David are the other replacement players.

In other news, RCB head coach Simon Katoch has also stepped down from his position due to personal reasons. The reasons of the same, however, are unknown.

Many of the foreign players, especially those belonging to Australia have opted to not feature in the remainder of IPL 2021 as they want to prepare themselves for the upcoming T20 World Cup which is knocking at the doors.

Just yesterday, Punjab Kings signed Australian medium-fast bowler Nathan Elis as Jhye Richardson and Riley Meredith have been ruled out of Phase 2.

Adam Zampa will be one of the many Australia players to pull out of the competition.

The spinner was anyways not an important player in the RCB squad. Bangalore’s bowling unit had been consistently very good in almost all of the match’s that they played before the tournament was postponed indefinitely.

Virat Kohli’s men have done exceptionally well in the first phase of the Indian Premier League 2021 and they will hope to continue their brilliant run in the second phase as well.
