In one of the latest videos for the Lord’s – Home of Cricket, Harbhajan Singh, India’s ace off-spinner, revealed his all-time XI, which includes players from the late 90s era and some of the best current-generation players. It was intriguing to see his selections.
As part of their all-time XI series, Lord’s – Home of Cricket invited players from different eras to select their favorite XI. Harbhajan Singh, aged 38, was also part of this series and revealed his all-time favorite playing XI in the video.
In Harbhajan Singh’s XI, which featured a top-order predominantly dominated by Indian players, the opening partnership consisted of the legendary Sachin Tendulkar and India’s current ODI vice-captain, Rohit Sharma. At the crucial No.3 spot, he chose the obvious option, Virat Kohli, India’s skipper.
The middle-order was strengthened by the experienced duo of Ricky Ponting and Jacques Kallis. To complete the batting order, the all-rounder Andrew Flintoff and the wicket-keeper MS Dhoni took the No. 6 and 7 positions, respectively. Harbhajan Singh also picked Dhoni to lead this illustrious side. Throughout his career, Harbhajan played 103 Tests and 236 ODIs for the Men in Blue.
In his XI, Harbhajan Singh opted for four specialist bowlers to complete the lineup. As spinners, he selected the legendary duo of Shane Warne and Muttiah Muralitharan. For the frontline seam bowling options, Bhajji chose Wasim Akram and Lasith Malinga.
The final XI comprises Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ricky Ponting, Jacques Kallis, Andrew Flintoff, MS Dhoni (Captain & Wicket-keeper), Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Lasith Malinga, and Muttiah Muralitharan.
