The Indian captain Virat Kohli came in the full support of the Indian wicketkeeper batsman MS Dhoni. As we all know that, MS Dhoni has already taken the retirement from the Test cricket and play only the limited over cricket.
Kohli said,”This coming season gives us an opportunity to define roles for players and give them time to execute it so that for the World Cup, we know exactly what one player needs to do in certain situations.”
“And it helps someone like MS also because he doesn’t play Test cricket anymore. This long streak of matches will help him be in touch with the international games, find some momentum and stick to it,” Kohli added.
The 2017 year is the very good going for the MS Dhoni after leaving the captaincy. As he scored a lot of runs in the limited over series against the all teams. The Indian team is now playing the ODI series with the Sri Lankan Team after whitewashing in the Test series.
“So it’s an opportunity for everyone in the team including MS to create good habits and sustain them over a period of time,” Kohli said before the Second One Day International.
The Indian team had won the first game in an easy way by 9 wickets. Shikhar Dhawan scored a brilliant century in that match and grabbed the player of the match award. Shikhar Dhawan is in the best form of his life, so it will interesting to see his performances in the upcoming matches of this ongoing bilateral series.
