Irfan Pathan picks best playing 12 of IPL 2023

The Chennai Super Kings, the four-time IPL champion team, once again clinched the title. In the IPL 2023 final match, they defeated the Gujarat Titans on their home ground and lifted the trophy. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja emerged as the hero of the match, hitting a boundary and a six off the last two balls to secure the victory for the team.

With this win, Chennai has reached the record of winning the IPL trophy five times, equaling the Mumbai Indians’ achievement. Furthermore, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan has been selected in the IPL 2023 Best Playing XI.

Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni are the two most successful captains in IPL history. Irfan Pathan has chosen Faf du Plessis of the Royal Challengers Bangalore as the captain in the IPL 2023 Best Playing XI, not among these two. Irfan has placed Shubman Gill as the opener and Virat Kohli in the top order. Irfan has chosen Suryakumar Yadav of the Mumbai Indians for batting in the middle overs, while he has selected Henrik Klassen of the Sunrisers Hyderabad as the finisher and wicket-keeper. Rinku Singh, known for his explosive batting for KKR, has also been given the role of a finisher. Ravindra Jadeja and Rashid Khan are both all-rounders.

In the bowling department, Irfan has included four dangerous bowlers of IPL 2023. He has opted for Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj for bowling with the new ball, while in the slog overs, he has given a place to Mohit Sharma and Mathew Patera. It should be noted that these two bowlers have delivered many match-winning spells for their teams in the death overs.
