VIDEO : Ishan Kishan pulls off MS Dhoni-like stumping

India got off to a strong start in their innings at the Holkar Stadium in Indore with Hardik Pandya dismissing Finn Allen in the first over. However, Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell put on a solid partnership, scoring 106 runs for the second wicket. India finally broke through when Kuldeep Yadav got the better of Nicholls.

Despite the pressure, Devon Conway remained determined to lead New Zealand to victory. The opener consistently contributed important runs and ultimately achieved a century. He received valuable support from Daryl Mitchell. However, Shardul Thakur quickly dismissed both Mitchell and Tom Latham, giving India a strategic advantage.

Conway’s dismissal came as he hit the ball directly to Rohit Sharma at short midwicket. Despite this, India’s task was not yet complete with Mitchell Santner and Michael Bracewell remaining on the field. India had concerns of another powerful performance from Bracewell, but Ishan Kishan had a strategy in place.

Ishan Kishan, the Indian wicketkeeper, performed excellently and executed a stunning stumping to remove Bracewell from the game. In the 37th over of the New Zealand innings, Kuldeep Yadav saw Bracewell advancing down the pitch and bowled the ball outside the leg stump. Kishan was quick to catch the ball and swiftly remove the bails, resulting in the dismissal of Bracewell.

Ishan Kishan, the young wicketkeeper, demonstrated exceptional anticipation and fast reflexes to catch Bracewell well before he reached his crease, reminiscent of a classic MS Dhoni stumping. Captain Rohit Sharma was also highly impressed by Kishan’s quick glovework and showed his appreciation by tapping him on the head.
