Jos Buttler Names “Fiercest Bowler” He Has Ever Faced

Jos Buttler, the England cricket team captain, is a top-notch white-ball batter in the current world scenario. He was a key player in England’s ODI World Cup victory in 2019 and later on went on to captain the team to their second ICC Men’s T20 World Cup title in Australia.

Besides his international cricket accomplishments, Buttler has also been a part of franchise cricket globally. During the previous Indian Premier League, he smashed five centuries, surpassing Virat Kohli’s record for the most tons in a single season.

In a recent ESPNcricinfo interview, Jos Buttler was asked to identify the toughest bowler he’s ever encountered in T20 cricket, and the 32-year-old selected Indian pace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah.

It’s worth mentioning that Jos Buttler and Jasprit Bumrah were teammates during Buttler’s time with the Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League. Despite this, Bumrah holds the advantage over Buttler, having dismissed him four times in T20 cricket.

Due to a stress fracture in his lower back, Jasprit Bumrah is currently inactive and will miss the first two Tests of the upcoming Test series against Australia. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will make a decision regarding his participation in the last two Tests at a later time.

With India hosting the ODI World Cup later this year, Jasprit Bumrah might miss the upcoming Indian Premier League season to ensure full fitness for the high-profile event.
