Latest ICC ODI Rankings Released, Bad News For AB de Villiers

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest rankings for One Day Internationals. The Indian skipper Virat Kohli reclaimed the number 1 rank after scoring one more century in the Kanpur ODI against the New Zealand Team. Kohli has now 889 points, which is the best ever by any Indian batsman.

Kohli knocked out the South African star cricketer AB de Villiers from the top spot. The ranking updated after the end of New Zealand’s tour of India, the last match of the South Africa v Bangladesh and the last two matches of the Pakistan v Sri Lanka.

The Indian team won the last match of the New Zealand series in a close encounter. The Virat Kohli and his team won the series by a margin of 2-1. Kohli is also declared as player of the series. He scored 263 runs in that series with the help of two big centuries.

The South African skipper Faf du Plessis gained two places and move on eighth place in the updated ranking. While his own teammate Quinton de Kock is at the fifth position. The Indian opener batsman Rohit Sharma is the other Indian, who appeared in the Top 10 rankings.
