CSK captain and former Team India skipper MS Dhoni is one of the seniormost and the most experienced players in the Indian Premier League right now and he is often spotted giving advices to young players in between, after or before the matches and that was exactly what he did after last night’s match between CSK and Mumbai Indians.
In the opening match of phase 2 of IPL 2021, CSK eked out a victory courtesy of a brilliant comeback, thanks to Ruturaj Gaikwad and the two main bowlers of the team – Deepak Chahar and Dwayne Bravo. Despite being 22-4 at one stage in the first innings, CSK managed to put up a fightable total of 156 runs and they successfully defended it against a team as competitive as Mumbai Indians. The 5 times champions were visibly feeling the absence of their captain Rohit Sharma who missed the match owing to an injury of unknown nature.
During the match, most probably in between the innings or after it ended, CSK skipper MS Dhoni was seen giving some advice to two players of Mumbai Indians, Anukul Roy and Ishan Kishan. Dhoni’s advice are always very useful for the young players as he often gives very practical tips that can be applied almost instantly and have a great impact.
Mumbai Indians posted a video of MS Dhoni chatting with the two players on their official twitter handle with the captain ‘The Jharkhand connection”. It must be noted here that Mumbai Indians youngster Anukul Roy is from Jharkhand.
