Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav And Jayant Yadav Likely To Join Indian Team In England

The Indian team management had asked for two openers and one off-spinner as replacements for three injured players.

Opener Prithvi Shaw, middle-order batsman Suryakumar Yadav and off-spinner Jayant Yadav likely to join the team in England as replacements of injured Shubham Gill, Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar.

Shubman Gill had a leg injury during World Test Championship and returned home. Avesh Khan and Washington Sundar both have finger injuries and all set to return to India.

According to recent report The Board of control for cricket in india is making plans to send Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav and off-spinner Jayant Yadav to England.

Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav are in Sri Lanka playing the limited over series whereas Jayant Yadav is in India.

The Indian team management asked for Shaw as replacement of injured Shubman Gill but the request was turned down by the BCCI. But with injury list increasing. The BCCI planning to send these 3 players to England.

The BCCI had picked 23 player for the World Test Championship and the important five match test series against England.

Avesh Khan injured his finger during the practice game whereas Sundar was unable to bowl, likely to be out for 6 weeks.

Suryakumar Yadav is being picked because Ajinkya Rahane is dealing with a hamstring issue. India’s vice-captain Rahane played the warm-up game after taking an injection.
